TaskTrove is a software the Sustainable Use License, provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. By using TaskTrove, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and disclaimers.

TaskTrove and its developers provide this software WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, including but not limited to:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY

  • WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED

We do not warrant that TaskTrove will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, be error-free, or that all defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TASKTROVE DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • DIRECT DAMAGES - Including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business interruption
  • INDIRECT DAMAGES - Including but not limited to consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages
  • PERSONAL INJURY - Any physical harm, injury, or death arising from use of TaskTrove
  • PROPERTY DAMAGE - Damage to hardware, equipment, or other physical property
  • DATA LOSS - Loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to your task data, projects, or personal information
  • SECURITY BREACHES - Unauthorized access to your self-hosted installation
  • BUSINESS INTERRUPTION - Any interruption to your productivity or business operations
  • THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS - Claims arising from your use of TaskTrove
  • REGULATORY VIOLATIONS - Fines, penalties, or compliance-related damages
  • LEGAL COSTS - Attorney fees, litigation expenses, or legal proceedings
  • ANY OTHER DAMAGES - Whether direct, indirect, foreseeable, unforeseeable, known, or unknown

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Data Responsibility

Your Data, Your Responsibility

As a self-hosted application, YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Backing up your data - Regular backups of your TaskTrove data directory
  • Data security - Securing your server and TaskTrove installation
  • Access control - Managing who has access to your TaskTrove instance
  • Data integrity - Ensuring your data remains accurate and uncorrupted
  • Privacy compliance - Complying with applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction

No Data Recovery Services

We do not provide data recovery services. If you lose data, we cannot and will not attempt to recover it for you.

Maximum Liability Cap

IN JURISDICTIONS WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED, our total liability for all claims related to TaskTrove shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Mushroom Theory Inc. for TaskTrove licenses in the 12 months preceding the claim. In no event shall Mushroom Theory Inc., its developers, or contributors be liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Severability
